About Divanity

Divanity, the blogspot, was derived from a team by the same name that specializes in stylings of all sorts - hair, makeup, wardrobe, etc. The ladies - Hannah SFO, Mia G, Hazel S, Agee Dee, and Monique J - initially decided upon engaging in such a project in order to put the pleasures coming from retail abuse to good use. Fortunately, the project blossomed and nearly a year later, www.divanity.blogspot.com is heavy in effect. Spreading the word about fabulous finds with respect to merchandise, products, restos, spas, and the like has been well-received by readers.

With the movement expanding, our team (now a sextet with the recent addition of Ms. Margaux C.) is now equipped to dish out exclusive invites, promos and even occasional giveaways from our established client base. Therefore, Divanity strives to keep bringing followers what they want...

END OF THE MONTH TREND ALERT!

Haaaay girls!

Given that we can't really know for sure at the moment what demographic we are reaching out to in this blogspot project (at least not in percentage), I can only assume that most readers are in the 20s and up. Therefore, it is safe to say that most of you have long been done with school (if you're
not done with school, feel free to send me a pm or drop a line on the guestbook). However, this new trend alert that I would like to bring to your attention will make you wish that you still had to attend class. Oh wait, shout out to sista girl Mia, whom is lucky enough to have to attend French class! You will looove this! You'll be the belle of the ball.

Take a look at these chic backpacks!

Granted that throughout college I only carried around my handbag and loose papers, the last time I had a backpack was in high school and I believe it was all about Jansports. Yes, they are ever reliable and have lasted all these years (they are tucked away somewhere in storage and can probably survive even the use of my rowdy son), but they were not even half as cute as these. Okay, so now it is time to make justifications for use outside of school. Fellow mommies, can't we use these in place of diaper bags or for those with older kids like my own, who just need extra clothes, towels, and baby powder to be lugged around? And it seems as though the backpacks with the waterproof material were meant to be for mommies, what with the spilled milk and kids that seem to be able to stain everything. To the multi-tasking ladies that are required to run around the metro like nomads, isn't it tiring on the arms carrying your supersized handbags? I mean, don't the leatherettes match working attire? How about the musical ladies? You need to bring around extra clothes for your gig and no time to head home, so aren't the stars and other patterned types hip enough to bring around your crowd?

Now, the most important part - where can these adorable bags be found? The first source is http://www.chic1shoppe.multiply.com/ and another source is this auction site (may the best lady win!) http://listings.auction.ph/Shoes+Bags+Fashion+Accessories/Women/Backpacks/catid-110/

If you are the type to want to see the bags in the flesh as you shop (shopping is our cardio), I do have to give back to the aforementioned Jansport. For a limited time only, Jansport is selling their "music, tats, and flowers" backpack edition that have these really cute hippy-inspired designs. Just visit the branch closest to you.

And there you have it Divanity ladies, this edition of the "end of the month trend alert". Stay tuned for a lot more tips and finds next month. Tata!

Monique
